On September 20st 2017, GoSilico convinced a high-class jury with its high-end simulation software for purification processes of biopharmaceuticals. Among 6 finalists out of more than 50 nominees, GoSilico was awarded as the best start-up in the CyberChampion 2017 competition.
The CyberChampions award is an initiative of the CyberForum, the largest high-tech business network in Europe, that offers great support to entrepreneurs and those to be. Once a year, CyberForum awards the best startup in the digital field and located in Karlsruhe, characterized by innovative and disruptive business ideas. Over the past years, some of its winners have meanwhile turned into renown and established enterprises: e.g. BlueYonder, Brandmaker or billiger.de.
Since Karlsruhe is the technology district of Baden-Württemberg quite some high-tech driven start-ups get formed in that region. Given these circumstances, it seemed to be impossible to compete against the other nominees: all of them are highly gifted founders with strong technological background.
And to our surprise, the jury had picked us. In his generous laudation, Christian Roth from LEA partners (the fourth guy on this post’s title pic), in particular praised the extraordinarily short period in which GoSilico managed to reach a break-even and stand on its own feet. After little more than a year in business, several big players in the pharma industry utilize our software ChromX and a lot more of them are in the pipeline.
We really appreciate the honor of becoming CyberChampions and send a great THANK YOU to Christian, for his nice words, LEA partners as the sponsor of the award, the jury, and of course the fabulous team of CyberForum!
